The vast scale and unknowableness of the oceans can make them seem impervious to human folly, yet their fertile edges exist in a fragile harmony - so many of its reefs, mangroves and waterways are under dire threat from climate changes and pollution. And as the larger weather patterns become unstable and water levels rise, cyclones and extreme weather events have become more frequent and deadly to the people who have lived on her shoreline.
